This bottle was awarded with a gold medal in the “Tenma Tenjin Umeshu Competition” where different brands compete for Japan’s no.1 Ume-shu. The master brewers poured their effort into the making of this ume-shu.
They put plums in an already-aged sake for further maturing, creating this lustrous yet smooth taste, tastes just like drinking a concentrated mixture of plum wine. The ume-shu has a beautiful lustrous amber color and a pleasant acidity lingers in your mouth for a long time.

In addition to this aged version of plum wine, the sake brewery also made a rich and thick version of “Torotoro umeshu (Literally means rich and thick plum wine)”. As the brewery is late to the ume-shu boom, instead of pursing something different and has an edge, they choose to go the “normal” way by pursing the best taste everyone loves. Do not miss this bottle if you are an ume-shu lover!
